About Us

Suchismita Dasgupta started Nextiles in 2004 with the vision to create exclusive textiles and designs using age old Indian techniques. 

Nextiles focuses on the most important aspects of a garment: fabric, fit, and tailoring quality. Our goal is to create stylish and comfortable clothes with clean, simple lines that allow the personality of the wearer to come through. Our team is small and committed, and we make the effort to ensure that our quality standards never drop.

The company also plans to work as a platform for any art/textile professional, who is working with the same vision of developing and promoting Indian Textiles.

Working closely with the weavers, embroiderers and printers from all over India, Nextiles' main focus is to translate the traditional handwork into styles that suit the global audience. To find new markets for traditional textiles crafts and hand woven fabric, the design team works to re-articulate these fabrics in the form of contemporary styles with an urban context.
